GROOMING POLICIES

Hours of Operation and Appointment Drop-off & Pick-up

  • Country Canine Grooming is open by appointment only and cannot accept walk-ins, even for nails.  Please call, text or email us and we can schedule a time that is convenient for everyone.

  • Due to our already very busy schedule, we are currently only accepting grooming appointments for new clients on a limited basis.  Existing clients that go longer than 12 weeks between grooming appointments will not be eligible to book a new appointment.

  • We understand how busy lives can get and how valuable your time is to you.  If, for any reason, we are not able to make our scheduled appointment, we will call to let you know.  We would appreciate the same consideration.  If at all possible, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel your appointment.  If you fail to give notification, please be advised that you may be required to pre-pay before another appointment will be scheduled.

  • Please be on time for your appointment.  If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment and a rebooking fee may apply.

  • If you drop your dog off more than an hour before their scheduled appointment time or pick your dog up more than an hour after being notified that s/he is finished, a $30.00 day care fee will apply.  This fee will be waived if notification has been given prior to arriving for your appointment.

Fees & Payment

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless arrangements have been made in advance.  We accept cash, check or credit/debit cards.  There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks.

  • Fees for grooming services vary widely based on size, coat type, coat condition and temperament.  We will need to meet your dog and evaluate the condition of their coat in order to give an accurate price quote.

  • Any dog that exhibits behavior that subjects the groomer or the dog to risk of injury will be charged a handling fee of $20.00 and up.

  • If any dog is found to have external parasites and we were not given prior notification, there will be an additional $50 cleaning and sanitation fee added to the grooming charges.

Leashes & Pottying

  • For everyone's safety, please ALWAYS have your dog on a leash while on the property.  The best accidents are those that are prevented.

  • There is a designated potty area in the front of the house for dogs to do their business.  Please make use of this area before bringing your dog in for grooming.  This will help alleviate accidents while your dog is being groomed.  Please do not allow your dog to go to the bathroom elsewhere on the property and please clean up after your pet.

Dematting, Health & Behavior

  • Your dog's safety and comfort is our first priority.  Therefore, we will not attempt dematting if it is in our professional opinion that the prcedure will cause your dog discomfort and/or possible trauma to the dog's skin.  If we feel that we can painlessly demat your dog, additional charges will apply.

  • Please advise us of any allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing medical conditions so we can avoid aggravating these situations.  Any dog that shows signs of illness will be quarantined and the owner will be called to come pick the dog up regardless of whether the groom has been completed or not.  Pets with communicable diseases will not be groomed until 14 days after their last symptom, treatment is completed and they have been released in writing by a veterinarian.

  • Country Canine reserves the right to refuse or cease the grooming at any time before or during the grooming procedure if the dog's behavior puts the groomer's or dog's safety at risk.

Satisfaction Guarantee

  • If, for any reason, you are unhappy with the results of your pet's grooming, contact us within 48 hours and we will re-do the grooming by appointment at no additional charge.
